A Word Of Thanks From Peck And Sue Lindsay

TO:  Kansas-Nebraska Southern Baptists

Sue and I want to take this opportunity to express our appreciation for the kind words that we received both in person and in print from many of you.
We appreciate your prayer support over the years and the financial gifts for whatever future ministry God has for us in Kansas and Nebraska.

My thanks to the men who served as President of our Convention during my tenure.  They provided the kind of leadership that kept our fellowship intact and our focus on starting and strengthening churches.

I am also grateful for the Directors of Missions with whom I have worked these years.  They have served along with Convention staff as the strategic planning group for our Convention.  These men have seen beyond their own Associations and have invested time and energy in helping start and strengthen churches across geographic and cultural boundaries.

I am particularly grateful to Doyle Smith for the leadership he has given across the years as our Convention President, as President of our Foundation, and as Chairman of the Board for the Webster Conference Center.  Doyle has an earned PHD from Southwestern Seminary and has turned down opportunities to pastor multi-staffed churches in the south, because he and Carol have felt God led them to stay involved with Kansas-Nebraska in developing our Convention.  For that, I am most grateful.

Again, thanks to you, the pastors and people of our churches, for allowing me the privilege of serving with you these years.

In Friendship,

Peck
