It is not often that you can do something great for God and his Kingdom work and at the same time do something great for yourself.  But that is exactly what gift annuities can do for God’s work and for you.

Basically, a gift annuity is a gift that you give to a charitable cause, such as, the Kansas Nebraska Convention of Southern Baptists.  The gift could be given to benefit Webster Conference Center, to help start new churches, provide scholarships, assist bivocational pastors or any other cause that the KNCSB supports.  This is how you can help the Kingdom of God.

Then you get a tax deduction for part of the gift given and this helps you.  In addition you would get payments for the rest of your life.  The rate of return will vary based on your age.  The rates range from 5.1% at age 50 to 10.5% for those over age 90.  Many people have money that is not earning this much and it has made it hard for them to pay their bills.  This gift could raise your income. 

So, if you have certificates of deposit that have come due, savings accounts or stock and you want to increase your income this is one way that you could help yourself.  You would receive income for the rest of your life from these gifts and then at your death the Kansas Nebraska Convention of Southern Baptist cause that is important to you would receive the gift that you wanted them to have. That gift would continue to give to His work until He returns.
