Cimarron Churches Unite For Men’s Conference

August 2009

CIMARRON, KS—Christian men representing several churches in Cimarron, in association with the Cimarron Ministerial Alliance, are following the Lord’s direction in hosting a men’s conference in Cimarron High School gymnasium September 5, 2009 (Labor Day weekend). The school is located at 400 N. 5th Street in Cimarron.

The main speaker for the event is Michael Franzese. Christian comedian Ron McGehee will also be in attendance. A praise band will be performing throughout the day’s event and attendees will enjoy a BBQ lunch prepared by Bryce Heikes from Dodge City. Registration for the conference starts at 7:30 a.m. and a Youth meeting at 4:30 p.m. is the last event of the day. There will be several sessions with both Mr. Franzese and Ron McGeHee throughout the day; along with the lunch.

Michael Franzese was “one of the biggest money earners the Mob had seen since Al Capone” and the youngest individual on Fortune magazine’s list of The Fifty Biggest Mafia Bosses, ranking #18, just five behind John Gotti. Today, Michael is a follower of Jesus Christ, dubbed “The Born Again Don” and a man on a mission. The story of his conversion is a testament of God’s willingness to reach into the heart of any man, regardless of their past or the present condition of their lives.

Ron McGehee is the world’s funniest “half-Korean, half-Irish” comedian. He started comedy with the Orange County Crazies Improv troupe and later moved to L.A. to pursue stand-up full time. He has headlined at such venues as the World Famous Improv Comedy Clubs and The Comedy Store.

For further information about the conference, call Terry Martin at 620-338-1605 or email: .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). Further information, along with registration forms is available on-line at http://www.awakeandarise.net. The registration fee is reasonably set at $25, which includes lunch.
