Bob and Marie Clark are embarking on a new career as estate-planning consultants for the Kansas-Nebraska Southern Baptist Foundation.
The Clarks are long-time leaders in religious education. Bob is winding down a nearly 30-year career at Nall Avenue Baptist Church, Prairie Village, Kan., where he serves as minister of education. Marie retired on Dec. 31, 2008, after a 26+ year career with Kansas City, Kan., Baptist Association. She continues to serve as team leader for Bible teaching at KNCSB, where she has served part-time for 13 years.
They are available to meet with individuals and couples to help set up estate plans. The Clarks also will lead estate-planning seminars in churches.

Their interest in estate planning was influenced by Charles and Janie Wood, who have served as Foundation estate-planning consultants since 1991. The Woods held at least three seminars at Nall Avenue Baptist Church.
Estate plans are vital for people of all ages. For example, couples with minor children need to have a will in order to name guardians. If they die without a will, the state will name guardians.
