Fall Retreats To Teach Girls How To Be God’s Princesses

By Nikki White

July 2008

This year’s GA and Mother-Daughter retreats will be Oct. 3-4 at Webster Conference Center, Salina, KS. Our theme is “God’s Princess: Learning to Live Like a Daughter of the King.”

The purpose of these retreats is for girls to know how to be a princess for our King and how God expects them to be like Him.

The weekend will be full of learning, praying for, and doing missions. Girls will be involved in doing a missions project for our missionary, Mindy Jamison, to take back and give to the inner-city people she and her husband, Jon, have ministered to in Des Moines, Iowa, for nine years. Linda Logsdon of North Platte, Neb., will lead our worship times.

Churches will receive the information packets for these retreats in July. Please know if your church does not have a Girls in Action group, that’s OK! These retreats are designed for all elementary-age girls. We are there to learn about missions and to make them aware of what missions is and how they are called to do missions.

Pastors and children’s workers, please encourage the girls in your churches to come to these retreats. You may have a future career missionary in your church right now! If you have questions at any time, please call Cheryl VanBebber at (785) 485-2662 or Nikki White at (785) 841-0894.

Hope to see your girls Oct. 3-4, 2008, at Webster Conference Center!
