God’s Plan For Sharing

“We are getting ready for Easter!” is the proclamation I hear from churches across Nebraska and Kansas. In just eleven weeks Easter will be behind us. It is my hope that many will have had the opportunity to hear a clear and persuasive message in a welcoming atmosphere in our churches. Hundreds of thousands of folks will have seen and heard the over 325 television advertisements that will have aired on more than 15 stations and Spanish radio. Churches, small groups and various ministries will have had prayer for and with thousands of people. The end result of all of this will be new people hearing the gospel, deciding to begin their relationship with Christ and joining a local church or ministry.
Don’t miss the opportunity for you and your church to be a part of this potentially life changing process across KNCSB. We are providing resources will allow you to use the media saturation to supplement your prayer walking, gospel distribution and Easter Week activities. A “Find It Here” banner for your church, the drop-in pieces and the hanging bags for your prayer walking ministry are available from your Director of Missions or KNCSB.
Not only do we offer you these resources, we also offer training for your church or Association. Contact me (.(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or 785.228.6800) to set up a time for the following workshops or seminars: How to Prayer Walk in Your Community, How to Share Your Faith, Understanding the Timeline for the God’s Plan for Sharing Across North America 2010, Planning for Welcoming Visitors and Effective Follow-up in Your Church.
In addition, the Evangelism Response Center will receive thousands of calls during the months of March and April. We need trained “Telephone Encouragers” who can share the Good News of Jesus from their own home during the time that best fits their schedule. Please contact your Association or the KNCSB Office for any or all of these training opportunities.
While all this is nice and can be helpful, the bottom line will be the heart of a believer reaching out to those that do not experience the abundant life found in knowing the Lord personally. These coming months provide opportunities to reach out and make a difference in the lives of others. Let’s seek the Lord to be our strength, encouragement and power as we follow God’s Plan for Sharing.
Collegiate Ministry
Approximately 120 students from across schools in Nebraska and Kansas were involved in some kind of event or ministry over the Christmas break. As a result of this, lives were changed and here is a story of one student.
“Adam* headed to Life Impact in Norman, Oklahoma with a group from his campus mainly to hang out with friends and meet new people. He had grown up in a Christian family but wasn’t living the abundant Christian life and had compromised his lifestyle. While at Life Impact, God used the speakers, workshops, worship and community to reveal his deep need for a lordship change. He recognized that he could no longer control his own life but needed to surrender all to Christ. As a result of this decision, God restored and is transforming him into the image of Jesus and using him in His kingdom.
Praise God for events like these and for the campus ministers who God uses to make a difference in the lives of students across Kansas and Nebraska.
