KNCSB Coaching Ministry

July 2010

Over the last year and a half, Directors of Missions, KNCSB Staff, and others have been honing their skill in coaching. Coaching, unlike mentoring, is not designed for an outside expert to tell a person what they need to do or how to address perplexing problems. Coaches use a series of powerful guided questions to help the person being coached to discover their own direction and answers.

Coaches don’t have to be experts in any field to coach someone in that field. They have to be good listeners and ask the right questions to lead the person being coached to action plans that they determine. Coaches also are committed to confidentiality with the person being coached. No one will know that you are being coached by one of our coaches unless you want it known.

In the secular realm, coaches are paid from $50 to $100+ an hour to work with clients. Because of the Cooperative Program and your support of your local association and KNCSB, we offer coaching as a free service to Pastors, staff, and lay leaders of all KNCSB churches.
