Life With E

May 2010

‘Life with E’ will be a new monthly feature on the Women’s Digest page.  Many of you met E when she was recently back visiting her parents and traveling and sharing in Kansas and Nebraska churches and events.  I’m hopeful ‘Life with E ‘will cause us to pray more consistently for her and other workers who are sharing their life with people internationally.
Mari Jaquith, KNCSB Women’s Leadership Director

School is back in session after taking a short break just before Easter and the dorms are filling up again.  Students from all over Niger come to Niamey to study at the university.  This break, many of the students stayed here to study for the exams they had to take this week or work on projects that need to be finished.  Often students in one class have to share a book that is required reading for their classes and the holiday breaks are good times to get to the library to read.

When I returned, I visited with the teacher I assisted last year in conversational English class and was asked to help again this semester.  Our class has around 60 people in it, and they have done a great job of participating in the various discussions we have had thus far.  It has been exciting to get to know these first-year students and hear their hopes and dreams for the future!
