Lynch Called To Pastor Blue Valley Baptist Church In Kansas City

Derrick Lynch was called as Senior Pastor of Blue Valley Baptist Church in Overland Park, Kansas, on April 22 and began his ministry there on May 13.
Lynch and his wife, Julie, are parents of Caleb (age 14) and Abbey (age 11), both of whom will be students in Olathe in the coming school year.
The Lynches come from Oklahoma where Lynch served in two churches. Prior to serving in Oklahoma, the Lynches served on staff at two churches in Tennessee.
The 41-year-old holds a B.A. from Oklahoma Baptist University and a M.Div. from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He is completing a D.Min. degree from Southern Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky.
During his ministry, Lynch has served on the Executive Board of the Tennessee Baptist Convention, the Board of Directors for the Oklahoma Baptist University Alumni Association, and as a trustee of the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
