Will Feb. 16, 2008, be a day to remember in your church or community? It can be. Here’s how: Organize Children’s Ministry Day (CMD), a nationwide hands-on ministry experience sponsored by wMu-SBC.

Imagine the impact that thousands of acts of compassion by thousands of children across America could have on your community and you are invited to be a part.

The theme is “Hope for the Hungry.” Getting involved is as easy as going on line to http://childrensmissions.com/ to get information and resources.

Next, decide on a specific ministry project to organize with the children of your church leading the way. Or call (800) 968-7301 and order the Children’s Ministry Day Promotional Pack 2008. An informational DVD is available by calling Heidi at KNCSB, (800) 984-9092.

The objectives of this annual Children’s Ministry Day are to:

  • Move children’s groups into their communities for a one-day effort to minister and witness together.
  • Help children understand the needs of others and grow in their ability to minister to others as Christ did.
  • Enable children, leaders, parents, and recipients of ministry across North America to share and receive God’s love
  • .

Encourage participation with promotional incentives such as Hope for the Hungry T-shirts, CMD prayer reminder key chains, or CMD Badges. Begin brainstorming and planning with these sample project ideas: Kiddie Meals; Birthday Bash Bags; or PB&J Day.

Get the children of your church outside the building walls to discover the adventure of lifestyle missions and impact your community for Jesus Christ.

Let Feb. 16, 2008, be a day to remember!
