New Sunday School Website Launched in August

September 2010

Starting August 1, there is now a brand new website at http://sundayschoolleader.com. This new resource is a collaboration among all 42 of our Southern Baptist state conventions! Sunday School or small group leaders in each convention are contributing articles, content, and resources so that your leaders can access them anytime, anywhere!

“With 42 of us contributing, there will be fresh content on the site so your leaders can keep learning,” said Marie Clark, Bible Teaching & Discipling Team Leader for KNCSB. “This is a big step our group of state directors has taken, and I believe it will be helpful for our Kansas-Nebraska leaders. I’m pleased to be one of the 42 leaders in this group.”

This is an online resource where church leaders can turn for help with Sunday School or small groups. Sample topics include how to start a new group, or even why start new groups. Teachers can find fresh ideas about how to prepare their weekly Bible study, how to develop new leaders in their class, or why they need to be developing leaders.

“Let’s face it… many of our Sunday School leaders lack the training that we wish they had, and purchasing training resources can often be expensive. Also, when one of your leaders needs help, they want it right then – not at the next training clinic! With sundayschoolleader.com, your teachers can be part of an ongoing network and dialogue where they can learn not only “how” to have an evangelistic, Bible-teaching group… but also “why” it is important. In addition, they will have the ability to access some excellent resources to help them become a better leader and discipler. I encourage you to send your people to http://sundayschoolleader.com and provide them with ongoing opportunities to grow and add depth to their ministry,” Clark continued.

A special feature for the sundayschoolleader.com launch in August features 31 consecutive days of fresh content to help your teachers and leaders have a Sunday School that has Great Expectations! Even though you will read this after August 1, the blogs will be archived for your use at any time.
