New Year, New Materials

It’s time to start preparing for your WMU Age Level Organizations for the coming 2010/11 year.  And at http://www.wmu.com you can find all the newest information and resources you will need to have a successful year.

Don’t we love it when we can take something that already exists, remake it into something more useful, easier to use, and more helpful in any area of our lives? Well WMU has done just that by remaking some of the materials.

The WMU Year Book is one example of a newly redesigned tool, it now has the months listed with the study, topic, action or event listed, resources needed & it’s cost and how many of this item is needed all in one place, for each age level missions organization. And of course the WMU Catalog is included in this resource.  So if you’ve not ordered this resource it is time to get that done.

The Children’s Resources have also been redone and The Start Magazine is now called the “Mission Friends Leader.” Good changes that you’ll appreciate.

The WMU Emphasis for 2010-2012 is Unhindered.  Jennifer Kennedy Dean has written our theme book for this year titled, “Life Unhindered.”

Project Help for 2010-2012 is Human Exploitation.  There are many areas of human exploitation that we will be exploring and these conditions exist in their many forms all around the world.  The misuse of other humans for any other human’s gain is exploitation: bullying, emotional abuse, human trafficking and much more.

MyMissionfulfilled.com is a web-based mission site designed to appeal to young women.  This site covers a variety of topics related to being a woman who desires to deepen her walk with Christ and share Christ with the world around her in meaningful ways.

WMU has free clip art and downloadable materials to help you promote WMU in your church at http://www.wmu.com.  Search the site for other helpful resources designed to help promote missions education by praying for missions, supporting missions, engaging in mission action and witnessing, learning about missions, developing spiritually toward a missions lifestyle, and participating in the work of your church.

Order your resources, then mobilize people in your church to make sure we raise up a missions-minded generation that see children, youth and adults being people who understand that living a missions lifestyle is not just about talk, but about action!
