Nurses’ Fellowship Offers Changes To Serve
February 2008
Kansas Nebraska Baptist Nursing Fellowship (KNBNF) met at the 2007 Wonderful Weekend for Women Fall Conference.
Maxine Thorne, RN, presented a continuing education program that was attended by 11 members. Gloria Burk, president, was unable to attend but reported KNBNF hopes to participate in at least one medical mission project in 2008. She attended the International Mission Board Medical Missions Summit in Richmond, Va., in July to represent KNBNF and get information on possible mission trips.
The summit was attended by approximately 90 international medical missionaries and 200 state-side partners. The IMB will again be sponsoring this summit July 17-20 in Richmond, Va. Anyone interested in attending should contact the IMB for more information.
The National Baptist Nursing Fellowship will have their annual meeting Feb. 7-10 in Oklahoma City. This will also be a celebration of their 25th anniversary. They meet in conjunction with the Baptist Medical Dental Fellowship. Find more information at http://www.wmu.com/bnf/
