Plan Now To Attend WWW

Graduations, the last day of school, Vacation Bible School, long lazy summer days, a vacation, weddings, our granddaughter’s first birthday, and the Wonderful Weekend for Women. These are the things that are highlighted on my calendar and high on my priority list to plan for right now.
So “After The Rain,” Sept. 11-12 seems far away, in fact four months away. But because it is a priority in my life I’ve already started planning for the Wonderful Weekend for Women at Webster Conference Center, Salina, Kan.
I plan to teach a conference, help organize the event, get ready to see old friends and make new ones. We will enjoy the worship team “Always Only” from Wichita, Kan. These are musically talented friends that we’ve spent time together with before and I can’t wait to sing with them again.
Kelly Minter, our featured speaker; is an accomplished speaker, musician and author. Kelly is a new friend that I will be excited to get to know. She has a great Web site for you to visit at http://kellyminter.com/. If you visit her Web site, read her books and listen to her music, I guess Kelly will feel like a friend you have known for a long time.
Other friends I can’t wait to be with are our conference leaders from across Kansas and Nebraska, leaders we know very well and some we need to become better acquainted with this September.
Then there are you and your friends, women who have been to the conference before and the new friends you will be bringing with you ... so much to look forward to! God is so good to provide so generously for us!
So set aside a few dollars each week in your planning, pray that God will lead you as you invite women to come with you and that He will prepare our hearts for His ministry towards us. Plan to choose conferences that will challenge you to grow. Then we can return to our everyday lives, ready to meet the challenges that help define who we are in Christ. Women helping those around them to come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and helping each other grow and mature in our faith walk.
Highlighted on my calendar is Sept. 11-12, 2009, days set aside as a time to enjoy friends and grow in my understanding of how God has created me to be a woman for this time in history. Can’t wait to see you.
