Portugal Is KNCSB’S Newest International Partnership

Is your church looking for a missions connection? KNCSB’s newest international missions partnership is with the country of Portugal.
“We envision establishing a coffee shop ministry together with a ministry center that facilitates many things we are doing, or preparing to do, and which your mission teams would help with, such as, English as a Second Language (ESL), Youth, Choir, Drama Groups, Marriage and Family Enrichment Ministries, Student Ministries, Deaf Ministries, ministries to the needs of the poor and immigrants, an online American MBA program to help reach professionals, and more,” said Don Dixon, missionary strategist in Portugal.
“Prayerwalking as well as personal encounters and conversations in many different settings with different people groups and population segments are also ways we can partner with you.”
According to Dixon, “Portugal is a land that has never in its history had any higher a percentage of evangelicals than the current 1.6 percent. We are seeking to break that mold as the Lord leads and empowers.”
Portugal is a coastal country bordered by the North Atlantic Ocean and Spain, and is slightly smaller than our state of Indiana. Lisbon is the capital and the official language is Portuguese. It is a beautiful country with buildings from the 1500s still in use. You will be awed by the clay tile roofs and cobblestone streets of the cities and the lush rolling hills and ocean views.
I would encourage you as a church and individually to pray and seek God’s direction for how you can be a part of this missions opportunity. For more information, contact me at
