“Set Free” House

June 2007

Recently the Men’s Ministry of First Baptist Church, Mulvane, Kansas volunteered to help remodel the “Set Free” house in Wichita. This house will be the setting of a new church planting emphasis focused upon those caught up in addictions.

There were a total of 25 involved in the work at Set Free house on March 30 and 31.

The volunteers removed three brick chimneys from the roof to the basement.  They also installed a 14’ high sheet rock wall in the attic.  And they installed three new metal doors with frames, hardware, and locks.

During the weekend they ministered to a young woman who had been hit in the face by an unknown man, and they also sent home fried chicken for a local man’s five children.

Plans are in the works for a second effort in June.
