WCC ends the year of 2011 with new record highs for User Days and Revenue:
2011 User Days: 45,069 (Up 1,940 over the previous record)
2011 Revenue $778,037.34 (Up $40,503.69 over the previous record)
Internet via fiber optics is now available at the conference center, improving service for all users.
A new Challenge Grant for $50,000 has been given to WCC to remodel the Main Lodge above the Dining Hall. Every dollar given up to $50,000 will be matched dollar for dollar for this project.
A $25,000 payment was made to the KS-NE Southern Baptist Foundation Loan on the Multi-Purpose Building reducing the indebtedness to $75,000 on this 2.75 million dollar facility. Another payment is scheduled for the end of March if current usage trends continue, with the final debt payment scheduled for January of 2013 if current usage trends continue.
A new full size pool table and a tournament quality ping pong table were added to the Rec Shack toward the end of 2011. Praise God for the generous family and individual who donated these items to enhance the recreational facilities for all ages.
The Chapel renovation is nearing completion and work will soon shift to other parts of the Chapel Addition. Painting has been completed in the Chapel along with new windows, new carpet, and new chairs. Current work involves improving the lighting and sound systems. Early evaluations from users is extremely positive!
