God’s Plan For Sharing

By Jon Sapp

April 2010

We are in the final days before Easter, and we have the opportunity to reach out to each of our communities in a unique way.

Many of you have already prayerwalked your communities.  I trust that was a significant time for you and that you won’t limit your prayerwalking to a scheduled day, but that you will find opportunities to prayerwalk regularly.

Over and over we have found that God uses this time to ignite a passion and love in our hearts for the world where He has placed us.  The Holy Spirit often uses prayerwalking to open our eyes to opportunities to proclaim Him and meet needs.  If you have not yet initiated a prayerwalking time in your church and would like some training, please contact my office.

But not only are many of our churches praying over their areas, some are making plans to place an invitation on the doors of the people among whom they live to come to an Easter Service.

As you go from house to house, I’m confident that God will use you as light and salt and encourage you to be prepared to give an answer for the hope within you.  This provides a great opportunity to share your faith.  I trust churches are equipping their people effectively.  As we get outside of the church building and into the community I am confident that God is going to use you to make a difference.

Soon you will begin to see on television and hear over the radio testimonies of how Christ has made a difference in lives.  These testimonies will link the phrase “find it here” to the banners that are available for your church to proclaim that they are places where individuals can find answers to their lives.  I believe it will also give individuals opportunities to share their own personal testimonies.

On April 4, 2010 we are prayerfully asking the Lord to use our Easter Services to proclaim truth and light across Kansas and Nebraska.  We pray that there will be individual lives changed in terms of eternity or at least a consideration of choosing Christ as their Savior and Lord.

The evil one will be at work to sidetrack us from being a part of any of the above opportunities.  I don’t know what it will be for you, but my prayer is that you will know “you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”  May we be faithful, available and teachable vessels as we get our lives next to those that so desperately need new life in Christ!
